There are dozens of organizations,in the ESL industry, each with a set of goals and purposed, first and foremost of which is to make money...from youl  They accomplish this by accepting money in return for posting their positions.  Many times, these online groups unscrupulously post for schools which they know nothing about.  The result?  Well, thank goodness not everybody's experience in ESL wonderland is a bad one, but it would surprise you how many people out there end up getting very screwed around by schools who promise this or that and you end up with JACK, and on top of it all, you are stuck in a foreign country having to put up with their crap!

 

 There are so many reasons why one considers becoming part of the ESL community - whether it was to rediscover yourself in a new life and culture, or simply to survive.  That, in and of itself should warrant basic respect and rights from whomever has convinced you to go half way around the world.  Unfortunately, it is not.   ESL Monkey believes that by offering access to well investigated ESL job links and providing superb legal resources to the ESL sojourner, you can accomplish alot more in about half the time. By building an effective relationship with others through our member bulletin board and direct contacts with ESL organizations who are well respected, we hope to get your message out to a larger audience of hiring institutions that will respect you for who you are.
